Settlement: $1,000,000
This settlement arose out of a road defect issue in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada.
There was ongoing road construction in the area with several subcontractors providing the work for the City. These companies are required to follow strict rules regarding signage and notification to drivers in these areas. This required signage is especially important for motorcycle riders.
The company had continually fought paying any damages to our client despite the severe nature of the injures which included permanent brain damage and permanent disability.
Faced with the pending trial, the company finally agreed to accept responsibility for the loss and offered their $1 million dollar policy to settle the claim
